LE DÉVOUÉ is a cylindrical straight worktop leg in Ø 15.9 cm steel tube for creating a kitchen island, a counter or a leg-supported worktop.
Made in Montpellier from 3 mm steel tube, LE DÉVOUÉ consists of a straight cylindrical column, Ø 159 mm, height 890 mm.
At the top, a round collar Ø 220 mm, a 4 mm ring bored to the tube diameter, transfers the load from the worktop to the column without lateral bending.
At the base, a round plate of the same diameter, 3 mm thick, distributes the load across an Ø 159 mm footprint.
The single column carries the load vertically without arms or crossbars: the space under the worktop stays completely free on 360°, the leg positions at the end of an island, at the edge of a counter or as a snack return, 1 to 4 legs depending on the configuration.
Each column supports 100 kg in solid wood, MDF, marble, granite, terrazzo or tempered glass, on a tabletop up to 250 cm long.
Available in 8 thermolacquered colours or ADAPTA dark matt varnish, the thermolacquering holds against impacts, moisture and UV.
Suitable for indoors and sheltered outdoor settings: covered terrace, balcony, veranda.
Fully welded in the workshop, LE DÉVOUÉ screws to the tabletop through the Ø 6.5 mm holes in the collar using the included screws.
The self-adhesive rubber pads protect the floor.

Kitchen worktop — standard preparation height
At 89 cm, LE DÉVOUÉ is designed at the standard height of a kitchen worktop for standing preparation.
Its single column without lateral uprights leaves cabinet access completely free on 360°: no stretcher, no crossbar, no visible structure between the legs.
The moisture-resistant thermolacquering handles splashes, cooking vapours and daily cleaning without colour change.
Kitchen island — end or multi-leg configuration
Placed at the end of a kitchen island, 2 LE DÉVOUÉ bases support a granite, thick solid wood or compact HPL tabletop up to 250 cm long.
The Ø 159 mm section asserts the base without overpowering the top: the tube becomes the punctuation between the cooking zone and the dining area.
For a freestanding island without cabinets, 4 legs at the corners, same tube, same height, same finish on each end.
Snack return and stand-up dining — bar stools
In an open kitchen return, a single LE DÉVOUÉ island leg under a narrow 80 × 40 cm top creates a stand-up dining area or snack corner with bar stools.
At 89 cm, the height matches standard bar-height seating.
If the top rests on cabinets on one side and on the leg on the other, the column positions at the end, no stiffener needed for a span under 120 cm in solid wood or HPL.
Marble or wood counter — contemporary home
In a contemporary open kitchen, 2 LE DÉVOUÉ bases in black RAL 9005 carry a solid oak top of 200 × 60 cm at counter height. The Ø 159 mm cylinder contrasts with the wood grain, assertive presence without visual overload.
In ADAPTA matt varnish, the raw steel tone pairs with white marble or natural terrazzo in a minimalist layout.

The number of legs depends on the tabletop configuration and how it is supported:

Recommended method: screwing through the Ø 6.5 mm holes in the fixing plate using the included wood screws, on a tabletop at least 2 cm thick.
For non-drillable surfaces (marble, granite, tempered glass), structural adhesive (epoxy or polyurethane) is an option.
The included self-adhesive rubber pads protect the floor and compensate for minor surface irregularities.

Powder coating involves baking electrostatic polyester powder at 200°C. The result? A 60-80 micron protective coating that resists :
