2. Object
These General Terms and Conditions govern all sales concluded via the site https://www.ripaton.fr/en/.
3. Products
RIPATON designs and manufactures :
- steel table legs
- wall supports, brackets, shelves
- decorative steel products
- made-to-measure products
Products are handcrafted in RIPATON's Montpellier workshop.
Slight variations may occur (color, appearance, micro defects).
Essential characteristics (dimensions, load, material, finish) are shown on each product sheet.
RIPATON applies dimensional tolerances that are proportional to the length, cross-section, assembly method, and the technical constraints inherent to the manufacture of steel products.
The tolerances set out below take into account, in particular, thermal expansion, material shrinkage, deformation related to welding, surface treatment, and transport.
The applicable dimensional tolerances are as follows:
from 0 to 25 cm: ± 2 mm
over 25 cm up to 50 cm: ± 3 mm
over 50 cm up to 100 cm: ± 5 mm
over 100 cm up to 200 cm: ± 8 mm
over 200 cm: up to ± 12 mm
These tolerances apply to all linear dimensions, including overall lengths, center distances, alignments, squareness, and parallelism, excluding any added accessories.
They are considered normal, acceptable, and compliant with professional standards in steel fabrication.
Any dimensional variation within these tolerances shall under no circumstances give rise to a claim, refusal of delivery, request for refund, exchange, order cancellation, or liability action, including when the product is intended to be integrated into an existing structure.
The customer expressly acknowledges having been informed of these tolerances prior to placing the order and accepts them without reservation.
4. Price
Prices are in euros and include VAT.
Delivery costs are indicated before validation.
The applicable price is that in force at the time of ordering.

Payments are secured via approved service providers.
7. Availability
Products are supplied while stocks last.
In case of unavailability, RIPATON will contact the customer for an exchange, a refund or an extension.
8. Delivery
Carriers :
- Colissimo → Switzerland
- DPD → France and Europe
- Geodis → pallets
Delivery times: - Average delivery time: 4 working days - Maximum legal delivery time: 45 days
Upon delivery, the customer must unpack the product in the presence of the carrier/driver and verify, before signing the delivery note, that the product delivered corresponds to the order and shows no damage.
In the event of any anomaly, the customer must clearly and precisely state the nature of their reservations on the delivery note.
These reservations must be handwritten, dated, detailed, and signed on the delivery note.
Generic statements such as “damaged product” are not sufficiently explicit. The customer must specify the nature of the damage (scratches, dents, stains, missing items, etc.) as well as the condition of the package or pallet (torn or opened package, broken or crushed pallet).
If the customer does not make precise and detailed reservations to the carrier, the delivered product shall be deemed compliant and satisfactory and may not be subject to any subsequent claim.
In the event of an error or damage, the customer must refuse the product and send their reservations to us by email within 48 hours at [email protected].
If the package has not been refused, any claim relating to damaged, missing, or defective products must be submitted within 48 hours by email to [email protected].
Any claim submitted after this time limit will not be accepted..
9. Right of withdrawal
Lead time: 30 days.
Exceptions (non-returnable):
- custom-made products
- customized products
- products made to customer specifications
Return shipping costs are at the customer's expense (see rates).
The product must be returned unused, unassembled and in its original packaging.
Refund within 14 days of return validation.

10.2 Return mode
Two options:
- RIPATON provides a label → costs deducted from refund.
- The customer returns it himself → tracked shipment + proof of deposit required.

No parcel may be returned without prior agreement.
10.3 Returns scale - Metropolitan France
Up to €60 → €6
Up to €80 → €10
Up to €200 → €15
Up to €400 → €20
Up to €600 → €35
Up to €800 → €75
Over €800 → to be defined
Pallet return → €80 inc.
10.4 Returns scale - Europe
Up to €60 → €10
Up to €80 → €15
Up to €200 → €25
Up to €400 → €30
Up to €600 → €55
Up to €800 → €120
Over €800 / pallet → to be defined.
10.5 Return conditions
To be accepted, the product must be :
- unused
- unassembled
- free of scratches or damage
- complete
- in its original packaging.
Mounted brackets (shower, bathroom, handles, shelves, etc.) cannot be returned.
Restoration charges may apply if necessary.
10.6 Products damaged on delivery
Any damage must be reported within 48 hours of receipt, before assembly.

10.7 Refunds
Refund :
- by cheque,
- by bank transfer,
- via the original method of payment
Refund period: 14 days after return validation.
Delivery and return costs are deducted.
10.8 Non-returnable products
No returns or refunds:
- custom-made products
- personalized products
- goods manufactured to specifications
- orders requiring a personalized technical data (modification = €100 inc. VAT)
- orders for more than 20 identical products or > €1500 inc
10.9 Professional customers
The right of withdrawal does not apply to professional purchases.
11. Warranties
Legal conformity warranty: 2 years.
Hidden defects warranty: 2 years.
RIPATON commercial warranty: 2 years.
Exclusions :
- incorrect installation
- non-conforming use
- overload
- product modification
- corrosion due to unsuitable outdoor use

13. Liability
RIPATON is not responsible for damage caused by :
- incorrect installation
- misuse
- shocks
- overload

15. Intellectual property

17. Modification of the GTC
RIPATON may modify the GTC at any time.
The applicable terms and conditions are those in force on the date of the order.
