LE DÉLICIEUX ROUND FINE is a central bistro table base with a round steel tube, built to make a restaurant table, a dining table or a terrace table in bistro, contemporary or industrial style.
Made in France, in our Montpellier workshop, it stacks three parts on one axis: a top plate Ø 35 cm in 6 mm steel that carries the top, a round central tube Ø 80 mm in 1.5 mm steel, and a disc foot Ø 45 cm in 8 mm steel on the floor.
A central base has no stretcher and no triangulation: the radius of the foot and its mass are what resist tipping when a guest leans on the edge of the top.
The disc has one property a square foot does not: it gives 225 mm of resisting arm from the axis, in every direction. No strong diagonal, no weak side: the table behaves the same wherever an elbow lands.
Hence the two limits: 30 kg of top and 80 cm across, in solid wood, marble, granite, tempered glass, plywood or HPL laminate.
At floor level, the round silhouette leaves no sharp corner: nothing to catch a chair leg, a mop or the service walking a tight room.
The powder-coated finish comes in eight shades, from matt black RAL 9005 to blue RAL 5002, with gloss white RAL 9003, cream RAL 9001, green RAL 6011, yellow RAL 1023, copper and gold. It resists moisture and UV: install indoors or in sheltered outdoor areas, covered terrace, veranda, balcony.
Delivered knock-down with its 6 M8 bolts: both plates bolt to the tube in minutes, so the parcel clears a narrow staircase and tables can be broken down out of season. The top plate carries eight slotted holes 6.5 × 9.5 mm, that elongated shape lets the screw slide as a solid wood top swells and shrinks through the seasons, and stops it splitting along the fixing line. 25 mm wood screws and self-adhesive rubber pads supplied; for a marble or glass top, replace screwing with an MS polymer adhesive.
For a square top and an angular fit-out, LE DÉLICIEUX SQUARE keeps the same height with a 6 × 6 cm tube. For a top heavier than 30 kg or wider than 80 cm, step up to LE DÉLICIEUX ROUND LARGE, rated 100 kg up to 140 cm. For a coffee table, a high table or a poseur table, height is configurable with LE DÉLICIEUX ROUND FINE MADE-TO-MEASURE.
Restaurant, café and brasserie floors
A dining room lives on reconfiguration: two covers at lunch, a party of six at night. The central base frees all four corners of the top, where a four-leg base puts an upright under the guest's hand and under the waiter's tray. The round foot presents no corner at floor level: tables pivot, push together and line up again without catching a chair leg. Sweeping at the end of service benefits too.
Round dining table, open kitchen, studio flat
A round 80 cm top seats four on a 45 cm floor footprint. In an open kitchen or a studio, that is the difference between a table you walk around and a table you walk past. An oak board, a 2 cm marble slab or a salvaged bistro top all remount on this new base: the Ø 35 cm plate spreads the bearing over a wide circle instead of four isolated points.
Covered terrace, veranda, balcony
In sheltered outdoor settings, powder-coated steel takes moisture, morning dew and temperature swings without chalking or fading under UV. Paired with an HPL laminate or oiled solid wood top, LE DÉLICIEUX ROUND FINE makes a terrace table light enough to bring in at night and stable enough to stay out all season. On a narrow balcony, a 60 cm top is enough for a real breakfast.
Hotel, desk, coworking, waiting area
At 71 cm, this is also a desk height. The central base leaves legs and chair castors free to move, with no upright to work around and no stretcher to hit. In hotel rooms, coworking spaces, waiting rooms or reception zones, the copper, gold, cream RAL 9001 and green RAL 6011 finishes step outside default black and line up with an existing colour chart.

The difference is structural: LE DÉLICIEUX ROND LARGE has a 15.9 cm diameter central tube, compared with 8 cm for LE DÉLICIEUX ROND. This larger diameter improves resistance to bending and swaying under load, and lends a more assertive visual presence.
LE DÉLICIEUX ROND LARGE is sized for table tops up to 140 cm and a load of 100 kg; LE DÉLICIEUX ROND is suitable for smallertable tops up to 80 cm, typically for two place settings.
Both models share the same 71 cm height and powder-coated finishes.
Two limits apply: 30 kg of top and 80 cm across. The second comes from the 45 × 45 cm footprint: past 80 cm, the overhang gets too large for the footplate to resist tipping when a guest leans on the edge. In practice, material density sets the thickness.

These figures cover the heaviest case, a square 80 × 80 cm top. A round Ø 80 cm top has 21% less surface: marble goes up to 2 cm there. Minimum recommended thickness: 2 cm, so the supplied 25 mm wood screws have material to bite into. For a wider or heavier top, go to LE DÉLICIEUX ROUND LARGE, rated 100 kg up to 140 cm.
