LE DISCRET is the over-the-door hook for cabinet doors that turns a furniture front into a hanging point, with no drilling and no screw marks.
Made in our Montpellier workshop from 1.5 mm folded steel shaped in three bends, it combines a 25 mm rear leg resting inside the carcass, a 20.5 mm opening that caps the door edge, and a 70 mm front strap ending in a raised curve that leaves 35 mm of clearance in front of the door, for 60 mm of total depth.
The rear leg acts as a counterweight and stops the hook tipping when you pull on the hanging tea towel, while that 35 mm of clearance holds the cloth clear of the front and lets air move around a damp towel. It holds 1 kg on 19 to 20 mm fronts in melamine, laminate, lacquered MDF, plywood or solid wood.
Powder coating in matt black RAL 9005 or fine-texture cream RAL 9001, oven-cured at 200 °C, resists moisture from cooking steam and condensation, and suits sheltered outdoor use under a veranda or covered terrace.
No screws, no tools, no adhesive: the hook slides onto the top edge of the door or its opening side, moves whenever you want, and leaves nothing behind. Its 1.5 mm of steel sit within the door's operating clearance, so the cabinet still closes.
In a small bathroom, complete it with LE RESSOURÇANT, the adhesive-mounted shower shelf that also fits with no drilling, or with LES SUSPENDUS, the set of two steel wall brackets for a countertop basin.
Held by balance, not by clamping
LE DISCRET does not pinch the door, it leans on it. The 25 mm rear leg pressed against the inside of the carcass and the front strap work in opposition: the heavier the load, the harder the rear leg presses.
Over time, the 35 mm of clearance in front of the door changes daily use: the fabric hangs free instead of rubbing the unit, and air moves around a damp towel instead of pressing it flat against the wood.
The last available surface in a small room
In a studio kitchen or a bathroom with no free wall, the cabinet front is often the only vertical surface left.
LE DISCRET simply slides onto the top of the cabinet front, with no drilling. At 70 mm tall, the hook clears a worktop or basin rim without blocking the drawer below.
Kitchen, bathroom, laundry room
In the kitchen it works as a tea towel holder: the cloth leaves the oven handle, where it slips and gets in the way of the door, for a fixed spot within reach. The oven glove and the microfibre cloth fit there too.
In the bathroom it keeps a guest towel ready, along with a face cloth or bath sponge, with enough clearance for air to circulate and the fabric to dry.
In a laundry room or toilet it takes a hand towel, a delicates bag or a folded tote. For a tenant, it is storage gained that leaves with them at the end of the lease.
Professional kitchen, back office, leased premises
LE DISCRET fits and comes off without tools. That mobility suits service areas rather than public-facing ones, and there it becomes an asset.
In a restaurant kitchen, a prep room or a stockroom, it gives the tea towel and the cloth a fixed point that keeps them off the worktop and lets them dry between services.
For a pop-up shop, a showroom or a trade stand, fitting and removal repeat with no marks and no reinstatement time.
An accessory that outlives the furniture
The powder-coated steel from our Montpellier workshop does not fatigue like injected plastic: it will not whiten at the folds, will not snap under a sudden pull, and is fully recyclable at end of life. Measure the door edge with a tape measure or calliper. The opening of LE DISCRET is 20.5 mm: it takes fronts from 19 to 20 mm. Below 19 mm the hook keeps play and moves on the door. Above 20 mm it will not slide on.

Yes on the vast majority of units. The part passing between door and carcass is 1.5 mm of steel, less than the operating clearance allowed by concealed hinge manufacturers. On a very tight carcass or a full-overlay door, check closing before use: the hook comes off in one movement.
A tea towel, an oven glove, a microfibre cloth, a face cloth, a guest towel, a hand towel, a bath sponge, a folded tote bag or a small fabric bag. A large soaked bath sheet exceeds this limit: use a fixed wall bracket instead.
The opening of LE DISCRET is not lined: it stays in powder-coated steel, with no pad or felt. On a 19 to 20 mm front, contact is firm and the hook stays put.
Yes. Fitted on the inside, the hook disappears when the door is shut and keeps linen out of sight — useful for a guest towel or a delicates bag. Just check that no shelf or contents hit it on closing.
