LE RENFORT is a worktop extender designed to create a breakfast bar or a dining nook cantilevered from a base cabinet, without a visible leg at the front.
Made in Montpellier from 1.5 mm steel, it combines a main folded L-plate — 450 × 300 mm horizontal plate + 121.5 mm vertical drop — with three reinforcing ribs welded under the top plate: these gussets triangulate the corner, transfer the cantilever load and block flexion at the overhang.
The assembly holds 100 kg for an additional overhang of up to 300 mm on solid wood, finger-jointed wood, MDF, laminate or HPL compact, and up to 150 mm on ceramic.
Its matt black RAL 9005 powder-coated finishresists humidity, disappears under the worktop and fits the contemporary kitchen trend in indoor use.
Supplied with wood screws for worktop and cabinet fixing, it installs in minutes through 6.5 mm round holes worktop-side and 6.5 × 9.5 mm oblong holes cabinet-side — by screwing on laminate from 21 mm thickness, by structural bonding on HPL compact.
Wall anchors not included for wall mounting.

Cantilevered breakfast bar on a base cabinet
LE RENFORT extends a worktop beyond the cabinet to create a floating breakfast bar without a leg or visible structure at the front.
Fixed both to the worktop and to the cabinet, it frees knee clearance and stabilises the overhang in daily use.
Dining nook integrated into a kitchen island
In an open kitchen, LE RENFORT extends the island by a 300 mm overhang in wood or laminate to turn the worktop into a dining surface for two to three people.
The bracket sits under the worktop, keeps a clean island volume and avoids an intermediate leg.

A single stock reference covers standard fitter configurations: laser-cut plate, drilled holes, screws and RAL 9005 powder-coated finish, ready to install.
Ceramic worktop extension
On a ceramic worktop, LE RENFORT allows a 150 mm overhang to create a counter return or a dining edge, in line with dense worktop manufacturer recommendations.
Fixing is done by structural bonding suited to ceramic, with a workshop load test advised on sensitive projects.
Wall fixing — desk, console, bathroom
In the absence of a cabinet, LE RENFORT fixes directly to a wall to carry a cantilevered desk, console or bathroom basin shelf.
The 450 × 300 mm plate offers a wide bearing surface, fixed by screwing to the worktop and by anchoring to the wall depending on the substrate.

Yes, wood screws for worktop and cabinet fixing are included. Wall anchors are not supplied and must be selected by the installer according to the wall substrate (plasterboard, brick, concrete).
To fit a dining nook on an island or breakfast bar, a 300 mm overhang is the comfortable minimum for knee clearance. 350 to 400 mm offers optimal comfort, especially for taller users.
Below 150 mm, an overhang can hold on its own if firmly anchored to the cabinet. Beyond that, a support like LE RENFORT becomes mandatory to prevent tipping or breakage.
The general rule is 2/3 support, 1/3 overhang for standard materials (solid wood, finger-jointed wood, MDF, laminate, HPL compact). For ceramic, denser and more fragile, the rule becomes 3/4 support, 1/4 overhang. Plan one RENFORT every 500 mm, i.e. two per linear metre of overhang.
